Privacy statement

Last updated: 5 September 2026

BrightStar IT Management & Consulting processes personal data from visitors to this site. Below is what that data is, why I process it and what your rights are.

Who is responsible

BrightStar IT Management & Consulting Amersfoort, the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce 91151090 info@brightstar-it.nl

BrightStar is a sole proprietorship. There is no data protection officer, so questions about your data come directly to me.

What data I process

Only what you enter in the contact form yourself: first name, last name, organisation, email address, phone number, the type of engagement you select and the text of your message.

If you do not use the form, I process no personal data about you.

Purpose and legal basis

I use that data to answer your message and, where there is reason to, to continue the conversation about a possible engagement. Nothing beyond that. I do not use it for newsletters, advertising or profiling, and I do not sell it to anyone.

The legal basis is legitimate interest, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: you get in touch because you want an answer, and I have an interest in being able to give one. If it leads to an engagement, I process your data from that point on under the contract.

How long I keep it

A submission arrives as an email at info@brightstar-it.nl. This site stores nothing in a database.

Messages that do not lead to an engagement are deleted no later than twelve months after the last contact, including the copy left in the sent items of the sending address. Where an engagement does follow, Dutch law requires the records to be kept for seven years.

Who else sees your data

Vercel Inc. hosts this website and processes technical data, including your IP address, in order to serve the pages and to measure loading times.

Microsoft provides the email environment in which your message arrives and is handled.

Sanity provides the content system behind the text and images on this site. Because images load directly from their servers, Sanity sees your IP address in the process.

Beyond that I share your data with no one, unless I am legally required to.

Cookies and measurement

This site sets no cookies. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to accept or decline.

There is no Google Analytics or comparable visitor analysis on this site, and no profile of you is built. Vercel Speed Insights does measure how quickly the pages load. That measurement uses no cookies, does not recognise you on a return visit and does not follow you across other sites. I use it only to see whether the site stays fast enough.

Fonts are served from this site itself rather than from Google, so your browser makes no request to Google.

Your rights

You can ask what data I hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted or have the processing restricted. You can object to the processing and request your data in a portable file. Send a message to info@brightstar-it.nl and you will hear from me within four weeks.

If you disagree with how I handle this, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If anything changes in how this site handles data, I will update this statement and change the date at the top.
